Good Afternoon,
Glad I found this forum because I am really frustrated trying to get the drivers to work on my laptop. It is running Windows 7 and is 64 bit....It keep say there was a problem and the driver has to be UN-installed....Then I read somewhere that Roland doesn't have drivers that work with this system. Hoping you guys can help me get this up and running as an interface to use with the included Sonar LE.

Thanks!

Geir

running on vista here on my inherited laptop. I've installed the drivers on my wife's windows 7 laptop without any problem. You did follow the instructions?

Well someone with a windows 7 PC will help you out soon I'm sure!

Did you follow the included instructions for installing the driver? In case it's not obvious, you can view the detailed instructions by opening the file "Readme.htm" in your web browser.

There is also a troubleshooting section in those instructions. For "Cannot install/uninstall the driver", it says "You must log on to Windows as a user whose Account Type is Administrator." If you're not sure how to do that, see the following web page:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/How-do-I-log-on-as-an-administrator

There are also clear instructions for re-installing the driver.

Thanks Geir!

I just tried to install drivers again and here is the message I get every time:

BR-80 Driver Ver. 1.0.0
A problem may have occurred
To install the driver, please execute uninstall
then reinstall driver

With windows 7 you have to run installs with admin privileges, which isn't the same as being an administrator

Hold down the shift key while you right click the install icon and choose run as administrator.

That may fix it.

I tried that and it didn't help, so here is the process I am doing:
Opening a file folder named :
Drivers
Selecting - win7
Selecting - files
Selecting - 64 bit
Selecting - setup

Box comes up "user account control"
Driver setup
Roland corp
File origin hard drive of computer

I select yes
Then I get the "there may have been a prob..,"
