Question about importing wav files into BR-unit??

Hey guys, i wonder if any of you can help me? ive got a BR-1200, and when i imported a wav file through the usb back into the BR-unit, i seem to have the wav file still (stored) on the BR-HDD!..as ive since deleted the imported track that i had on the BR..but it's still there next to the rest of the HDD data. is this normal?? not sure if i copied it twice or something? but it's there standing out like a sore thumb so to speak ha-ha! sorry if it's a stupid question but cant remember if this what normally happens when importing? any help or info much appreciated..cheers!..
