In total disregard for the idea that song crafters is a place for fresh meat I offer this up. Hate it if you wish - it was 1984 after all.  I brought this up for a friend with whom I am working on a project that this is important as an example and I thought I share.

About "Jack Adam and Jill Eve"

If the baby falls
The crib shall age empty

all of the earth
which ever lived
creation everyday
if the baby falls
it would leave the crib quite solo

The sources who join to nurture cries and giggles
Won't change diapers anymore
If our baby falls

Why they quote prophesy
I'll never understand
For they diapered the world
And it filled it self full

Fufilling their prophesies
Of a poor dead planet
If their baby falls

Screaming out for the right to life
They'll never abort their baby
Till the baby falls
Then the crib shall fade
So Humpty Dumpty
With Jack and Jill
And their baby

Year: 1984

Album:
Two Old Friends (Track #24)

Artist's description:
Just classical guitar and voice

Original recording in 1984 or so on casette - one take.

So the recording here is somewhat lo-fi

"That was long enough ago that I would probably not do a decent job commenting on the lyrics I wrote. Of course, it is about nuclear arms and the baby is a actually a bomb. "

I said "not about abortion?"

he said "I guess it was slyly a bit about that, too. :)"

Inspiration:
the bomb - and abortion activists

I read the words and the comments and convinced myself I wouldn't like it, but I was drawn in and couldn't push the stop button. A chilling reminder of a cold war era...........Willie

I really dig this one. Quite a catchy tune, I love the guitar playing as well as the vocals.

As for the recording quality, the background noise seems weak enough to be easily removed. Add some EQ and you'll have a great sound.

I could try to do some restoration for you if you wish :)

Wooo. Mighty fine. Wish I hadn't read the text first though...

But I'd forgotten reading it during the second listen.

After hearing this, no-one is getting to hear to any of my 1984 recordings, not in public anyway :D

Is just a piece of paper
To say a few lines

I tried. Can't seem to remove all the hiss without affecting to the voice, so I left some on there. Did some de-essing and EQ, and tweaked a bit with compression and mastering room reverb to see if...

Well, maybe you like it :)

Grab it from here.
