WOW !!!

What a fab way to introduce yourself !!! And what a great name ;D

That some serious guitarskills you've got! And you seem to have gotten the grips of that mbr-80 all right !! Did you use the FX on the BR80 only or did you use some external affects as well? And please do tell a bit more about yourself, your gear and your musical experience.

And a big welcome from Telemark !!

Thanks for the warm welcome

Actually I cheated, I used the br 80 as an interface into garageband. But I bought the br 80 as a build up and to see
if I could come to grips with these digital recorders. My goal was to get the br 800 after learning to use the 80 proberly.

@Geir, yes what an excellent name we share  ;D. The guitar sounds on this track are straight from the br. I used the recto and metallicat. 4 tracks two of each. two channels hard panned l/r and two channels panned abput 70% l/r.

I like this little recorder very much but I'm having some trouble with the drum programming, that's why I ended up using garageband and EZ drummer.

After reading all about the br 800 here on the forum I think I´ll stick with this little guy as an audio interface and ultimately I will learn to program the drums ;)

Well the problem is not so much programming. When I record in a DAW I usually use some basic drum pattern to keep me in time and when the guitars and bass tracks are recorded I start editing and sculpting the drums to fit the song or to what I had in mind originally. I'm still learning how to bend the rythm section in the br to my will  ;)

I've been playing since 91. I'm a GAS addict so my gear is a constantly evolving journey of spending money and pissing off the wife :)

In the amp world I've mostly use mesa boogie amps, simply love 'em. But My latest mission has been going all digital. For effects with the tube amps I've used almost everything from boss to tc electronics and currently have a boss gt 10 but no amp.

The guitars I'm using are ibanez premiums and prestiges. I love the premiums, a bang for the buck guitar. So since I have no tube amp at the moment I'm thinking about getting the roland cube xl 80 and selling the gt 10. Used to have the 40 xl and that is simply one of the best amps for home practice on the market today IMHO.

Anyway, a wonderful and informative forum, I'm very happy to be a part of it.

Will post more music when I get around to record it. I'm currently reading the br 80 manual like it was the bible ;)
