The number of track was down to the use of stereo. I used the slicer to get the pulsing rhythm, and the SL-20 has some cool stereo effect on it. Hook sent me 1 stereo vox and two mono vox tracks

So from memory

1/2 -  Strings with slicer on GR-20
3/4 -  Bass with slicer on GR-20
5/6 - stereo etherial femail vox (arh's) on GR-20
7/8 - stereo piano on GR-20
9/10 - is the master bouncing track, and the mastering track (stereo)
11/12 - stereo drum loop
13/14 - stereo sax on GR-20
15/16 - bounce track for 1/2 and 3/4

I added Hooks Vox on 1 to 4 for mixing. Used virtual track 2's for this, so nothing is lost. Mastered with soft compression setting.

And that's about it - probably should have used some mono tracks - but you live and learn.

Note that this wasn't planned - I was playing with the slicer and it kinda popped out. Hook made the lyrics fit :-)

Missed this bad boy...........superb.........moody..........electric...........shit hot damn............I flipping can't believe what I am hearing, my brain is happy........happy with the sounds..........what a vocal.........damn..........I can't believe I almost missed this.  Superb guys, superb.  Its finding stuff like this, right out of the blue, thats why I love this site of ours.  If this came on the radio, I would crank it man, crank it loud, and then seek out the artist and find this album.......and listen while driving, with my eyes slightly closed, and the steering wheel going from side to side, and the gas pedal surging......
