Hey all... a freind turned me onto a really good web based tutorial... ive been through only a couple of the segments, and they seem like they are very well put together... Anywhere from beginner to more advanced techniques... especially for mixing drums. I know all to well how tedious they can be. Hopefully you all can benefit.

Finding the groove... This is very easy to lose especially when you are creating tracks and then bringing them up to DAW to perform mastering (BTW... I thought the groove was the bassline on this particular track)... It is very easy to get lost when you have sooo much info to transpose.... man there is a lot of good info here... If you haven't checked out... I highly recommend  this tutorial.

Thanks for the link. Had a quick check at work and will investigate further at home. Mixing has always been a problem for me and so I quite often just post it as it was recorded. (Does this make me a bad man?)...Willie

I figured since I hi jacked Tim's thread (Hook caught me)... I'd better do a Reciprojack... "Pass it on"....

Tim has taken the time to write down some very useful info please visit his thread... The info on this thread may take some time to get through... Tim has a quick no BS breakdown... If you've never heard his tracks... Check them out... He gets some amazing sounds out of that little silver box. Not to mention he's a stellar musician... and probably has more talent in his little finger than I will ever be able to acquire in this lifetime... CHECK IT OUT!!!
