Ah - that's sad. He sighed my leather jacket when I was young - he seemed a decent guy.

Yep, I just heard this on another forum.

Made me feel very sad...

Don't know whether folk have noticed, I like putting organ onto my tracks - and it's all because of the sounds Jon Lord made. Others as well, but "Jon Lord" is the sound I want.

Had a lot of fun listening to J Lord and his various pals in my early teenage days, alas I moved on and didn't listen to much of him after then. He and his pals deserve loads of credit for what they have done, without whom my teenage life and that of many others may have been very different. Cheers Jon.. R. I P.

always loved deep purple especially mark 2. lord was one of my yop 5 fav keys. one of few who could make a b3 have hard rockin sounds like a heavy rhythm guitarist. im a beginner at keys but he is an influence.
