Gotta agree with Jimbo on this one...

The video for 'This Town...' may have been a bit goofy, but Sparks' first two albums (Kimono My House and Propaganda) fecking ROCK!!  :)   :o  8)

Now this is going to get me in a lot of trouble, however a lot of 70's music I simply never 'got'. This was one of those tracks - I wouldn't say I hate it, it is memorable but for just being plain odd.

I have this discussion with Paul (who I've posted a few tracks with - and keep trying to get him on this site). We come from very different musical background. Him being a child of Marc Bolan and TRex (which isn't me at all - but he gets his own back by making me play 20th Century Boy with him  :o), and me being a child of Blackmore (I don't make him sing Smoke on the Water :-) ).

and while I'm on a rant - I really dislike that 70's fizzy transistor guitar sound!

I know people love them - but Roxy Music and Brian Eno, I really don't like that. If we ever did a tunesyouhatefest ......

Still - life would be a boring place if we all agreed :-)

The keyboard player from Sparks used to scare me a bit at the time (but I do like the song) and I used to like the Rubettes (probably shouldn't admit to that one) - Sugar Baby Love is a really tough song to sing btw - respect x
