Stormy Monday by Rick Washbrook

This is my first serious attempt at using the recording feature, I typically use the unit as an MP3 player and phrase looper for practicing.

I organize a blues guitar club, and the performer is our guitar instructor Rick Washbrook. This song was recorded as a review of some of the material we are working on.

I was impressed with the unit. I've tried to record my own playing a couple of times, but found pressing the buttons while holding a guitar to be a bit harder then in this case, where  I was manning the button while Rick played.

Specs
3 tracks.
Rhythm track: BLUS3-V1 at 126 BPM
Guitar effect (all tracks) P04: Twangster

Guitar plugged directly into recorder for guitar solo, rhythm, and bass line, each recorded on a separate track. A mic (not sure of the make or quality) was plugged in for the vocal track. I found that Rick had to hold the mic and sing right into it to get enough input signal.

All mastered to MP3 with P01:Flat setting.
Drums faded out at the end manually during mastering.

Cheers,
Frank

Holy sh*t! You can tell your guitar instructor Rick Washbrook that he's as cool as it gets. Just wonderful! The recording and mixing are great too. Perfect.

We sincerely appreciate everyone's positive comments, and because of the warm reception we were inspired to refine the drum track in the original recording, and you're very welcome to either review, or listen for the first time, to the updated version now at top in my original post.

We enjoyed the results and response so much that we hope to add another recording in the next few weeks -- the issue now is agreeing on just the right song.

Cheers,
Frank
