This is a tune I've performed out 100's of times but wanted to do something different with it. I recorded this in my car yesterday morning before work. Quite a bit of noise when the uke solo comes in, tried to get rid of it in audacity but couldn't isolate it well enough I guess. This was a live take using the ps02 mic (live pre-set) and the 004 mic(clean) simultaneously, then added the lead mic'd the same. I messed around with these tracks alot in audacity, lowering levels mostly due to so much peaking. I have family staying in my studio so I can't get to my br and would have preferred to have done this on that but oh well here it is!

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

Oh nice one Hook - takes it to another place when the lead comes in. I really want to play it on my guitar now!

Was unsure at first , but i really do think you have done a great job , I'm a little bit of a traditionalist when it comes to old classics , thats why i don't really do different versions from the originals , but , this i like , well done buddy , i like your style

Fun version. That happy uke vibe contradicts the lyrics...I can envision the lady jumping out of her depression bed and dancing around the hospital room like Lloyd Christmas.

I also was unsure at first but always like your Uke numbers and always like your vox.

I think my fave version of this song is The Flying Burrito Bros version, like Gram's voice a lot.

I think there may well be a few versions of this song through the fest, its a great choon.
