I have missed this crowd and feel badly I haven't kept up on things.
Great to see the old regulars still pumping out better and better stuff.
Thought I'd at least contribute a cover I've always liked.
Done in Sonar as I muddle my way thru the complexities of the program.

Hope you like. It's been a lot of fun learning.

Smokin' brother! Some seriously tight picking going on here and I dig it completely!
Rock on!

Lovely track - great sounds going on here. Serious amounts of bass going on the acoustic. Very nice, very nice indeed!

Thanks Bruno
Have I overdone the bass to your system/ears?
Not blended well?
Or are you saying you liked it that way?

No - I really liked it - it sounds great in the mix. When I mike up my acoustic, to date I position it to try not to be too bassy - (mike pointed at the neck joint) I'm wondering if that is the right thing to do - I've shied away from that, even rolling the bass off the mike. How did you record that?

I've been very happy with my BR800 stereo mics placed on a mic stand and tilted vertical so it's more of an XY config. Input L/R and stereo with P10 (CM + fat EQ)
One close to the bridge and one at the highest frets and to either side of my hand.
I've tried other mics but this give me the best "presence" so far. Those on board mics are pretty good. Better than my $400 Apex 460
Then in Sonar I EQ cut (High pass) below about 200 and above 15K which leaves room for the bass track.
