I really like your work Bruno. This is wonderful...both in the playing, the arrangement, and the production.

One of your best i've heard.

Classy, artistic, and engaging. Loved it!

The sound on this is excellent. And the playing. I love the rhythm and the violin is a tasty touch that is darn near as perfect as strawberries on a banana split.

Thank you for all your very kind comments.

Here's the techy detail.

I tend to flip between styles a lot, I know. This one is left and right Brook (two tracks - I didn't play the harmonics on the second track, which caused the harmonics to sweep a bit) - played with the claws rather than a pick (this is really how this guitar should be played). I have no nails, so I finger pick with the fleshy tips of fingers, which is something I've always done - and sounds quite a bit softer I think.

The big Djembe doing the big boomy sound - hole facing the  mike, and small djembe miked from the top. The fiddle was recorded with the mike in the room (not closed miked) and I added lashing of reverb and echo, which gave it quite a far away feel. The recorded violin can sound quite harsh, but I think the far miking help to soften the sound. I recorded the Djembe first with a click track to keep the time, then guitars, second djembe and the violin last.

I mastered with the acoustic setting - I didn't really EQ anything on this - its all pretty flat.
