For some reason I overlooked this song and its been staring me in the face every day Ive logged on.
The sentiment and story blew me away and it is to me a perfect song.
I felt it was so good it needed more as it to me was a hidden jewel so I put a new slant on it and
enjoyed every minute of it.
Geirs voice and playing is great on it and I hope my take on it does the song justice.

It sure does! When I read the introduction I thought, oh no, don't let him destroy that great song - but I must say in all honesty: It turned out great and sounds even better than the original version.

There is just one minor issue I noticed - there seems to be something wrong (drop out) near the beginning of the last quarter of the song. Other than that it sounds awesome.

very nice. Your subtle additions give it an uplifting George Harrison 70s kinda vibe.

Yeh regardin the drop out thing, its actually meant to happen the track comes down there(the strings ) as geirs voice gets softer and it build up to create a bit of dynamic. :)

That was exactly my feeling as well when I got a pre-listen before Kenny posted it. I even got a little Lennon vibe from the arrangement as well. So you know I love this !!! I'm really really pleased how this turned out. A fabulous addition to my song !!

Thank you Kenny!!

Very,Very pleased that you like it,I was worried at first but when the song started to come together and I was sitting playing the d50 and building up the string parts and listening to the words and the playing, I realy felt like I was in that cabin in the woods  :).
I also always got a lennon vibe right from the start and I think it moulded itself into that feel,it was a very enjoyable project.
