same venue recorded a year or so ago, cant recall the guys name who is doing this one on his own, but his guitar playing has to be seen to be believed, think this is an old jimmy rogers song.

nearly missed this one-
jaaaz that brought back some memories I can tell you
nearly every pub in Dublin years ago had at least one night a week ballad session -it was really big time --
The Abbey Tavern in Howth springs to mind -if you werent in by 7/8 you would'nt get in at all -
but the folk and ballad scene has all died off and so have the pubs for that matter.
the event of one guy and his backing tracks also did'nt help
but the good days will be back

sad to hear that Bruce, who plays on the 2nd recording has passed away, a fine man and musician, some videos have been appearing on facebook so i thought i'd share, this thread seemed an appropriate place to share. RIP Bruce.
