http://www.singmeastory.org is a site where you can see pictures/stories from children throughout the world. The idea is that songwriters will write a song based on/inspired by a story. If you submit a song you agree to share half of any proceeds from the song with the foundation. A few on-line friends have written songs for the site and yesterday I uploaded the first I've written/recorded. It occurred to me that this community is among the most creative on the net and that someone here might be interested in writing a song for them. The link above is where you can see stories, songs and sign up if you so choose. There is also a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Singmeastory  and here is an article from the American Songwriter magazine: http://www.americansongwriter.com/2012/02/sing-me-a-story-foundation-helps-children-find-their-voice/

They will email you when they activate your account. But you can view the stories and see which ones already have songs right now. You can write a song for a story that already has a song, but I've been reading/looking at stories without songs to try and spread the love around.

I hope you enjoy it. I know I did.
