"Story & Clark to Kimball" a Hook original

I wrote this tune well over 20 years ago on the Story & Clark piano that was in my parents house when I grew up and is in mine now for my kids to learn on. I was in Washington D.C. a few weeks ago and we stayed at LenFant Plaza and in the lobby was a nice Kimball Grand. Well I had my 004 with me so one night around midnight, once the family had settled down, I went to the lobby and recorded a few tunes. I used both on board mics and set the 004 right on top of the piano. I did try to remove the noise but didn't like the processed sound so I chose to leave the lobby noise in. Never named the tune so this seemed appropriate. Also I don't  consider myself a pianist or even a player really just a noodler!

 ... they didn't throw you out? .....or come over and say sorry sir you can't do that here you'll disturb the other guests.......that piano's not for playing..........What do you think your doing....or a number of other things that would be said if you tried recording a piano in a hotel lobby over here late at night...or were you dressed in Black and doing some Ninja noodling whatever its great playing Hook.... Bravo

Thank you all very much.This is one of those pieces that I've played for so very long that it makes me appear to be a much better player than I am...but I will take the compliments happily!

Reg- They were quite nice to me in fact and were darn right hospitable. I played many times during the day while waiting for my family... and while recording, no Ninja tactics were needed. Not that I couldn't have provided some Ninjaness!!!!
