Haylie, my wife thinks so too.....but then again she's crazy,  ;D, seriously.

DD - superb post, I empathise with all you said... and all I've had is a chicken sandwich and a fruit salad...

But I missed that bit from Haylie about Steve Tyler... I saw them a few years back, and yeah, couldn't really argue then. But someone posted a recent picture of him (either on here or on another forum), he was at a supermarket checkout or something, and, er... ummm... well... :D

A bit late to comment but well said DD - an evening on your porch listening to you play and sing sounds mighty fine. :)

Here`s my take on videos. For one thing MTV and MuchMusic here in Canada don`t even hardly play vids anymore. They play teenage bubblegum shows and negative reality BS like "Jersey Shore now". Freakin brutal is what it is!  I don`t even understand it at all but we are too old to understand i guess..

When we were younger and videos blossomed in the 80`s they were cool because they were different. I mean really i wasn`t a Michael Jackson fan at the time but the Thriller video was top of the heap. I went to video dances at school and stuff too. It was the popular thing. i think that most people average age on this site are 35 and up and it`s just simply when we get older fun things we used to like... fizzle. :(  I mean really, even movies are the same. I`m very picky and critical. We only like things that are different.

The music industry has relied on the young from the beginning. Do you really love and are as thrilled with music videos as much as you were as a teenager?   I do like picture videos now here and there but i don`t have time to watch videos. I`m always on the go. I might make one some day myself if i get time but creating yourself is different. A song is like a book. We all imagine differently when we read or listen. I don`t need to watch something to help me with that. But who am i to say. We all have our things we like to do.

I have to agree with Henwrench though. Internet radio is the way of the future. It gives everyone a chance to put their music out there and even if you don`t make money you`ll know that some redneck in Louisiana, or some kid actually listened to you from any part around the world. Just like here, i find it more satisfying.

Yes, internet radio is coming on strong - The drummer in the band I'm in is an internet DJ. He actually gets paid, can't believe it.
