i met paul buchanan of the blue nile the other day, (a hero and inspiration to me i wuz starstruck) i shook his hand, mumbled some nonsense to him i think in fact i mostly communicated to him via the art of mime.  i think he understood me as i got a big smile from him.

kenny said i should write about it.

anyway kenny sent me some music the other day to see if i could come up with a lyric for it.

what to write  about?

i know.

this has bounced back and forth and there are many variations, is titled take 3 but is possibley take 5 or 6.
Sitting outside
in your reverie
drinking coffee
a million miles away
interrupted
woken from your dream
someone talking
not saying anything

maybe someday
you will understand
maybe one day
it will all make sense
you know that they
don't mean any harm
they just want to
shake your hand

sitting dead still
staring of to space
your eyes focus
a smile forms on your face
body language
we communicate
one brief moment
before it gets too late

maybe someday
you will understand
you know that they
don't mean any harm
they just want to
shake your hand
shake your hand
shake your hand
shake your hands

Very nice collab. Loved the use of delay - I don't know who Paul B. or Blue Nile are but this sounds quite like Big Country-ish to me.

Nice one, guys. Kenny's really got The Edge's delayed guitar sound down pat. It sounds great. Love the vocals too.

It's cool that you've met a couple of your heroes. Who would you like to meet next?
