Re Smoke on the water - in my youth, I wired an electric guitar into the head of a tape recorder to get an over-driven sound, and drove my mum to despair playing 'the riff', sorry mum! I also used a matchbox and a pin to listen to my sisters singles - mind you David Cassidy and the Osmunds, they definitely deserved it.

i'm sure they have tons of soul but they are just showing off , i am of course excluding eric johnson from this diagnosis cos he has got everything , and he makes the other two look like robots  

i bet you eric could get some cool sounds out of an ipad  

And it also doesn't make sense to me that people hate heavy-metal yet they like punk music?

it doesn't make sense to me that people past their teens still like heavy metal, some of my best friends love heavy metal but i don't hold it against them

yup eric johnson . i want an app that makes me play like him.  like in that arnie swazzenegger movie where the put chips in yer head and sent you on holiday. i want a chip in my head that makes me play like eric and i want it now

So Eric Johnson doesn't show off but they do? He's not cold? Same level and category of music no? Didn't they all tour together for reason ???I guess if I'm wrong then I better just start trashing my guitar like Pete Townsend and give up! Lol
