Like Rob, I could hear close harmonies even as it started (in fact, after the opening line, I half expected to hear you doing them yourself later in the track).

I'm not sure how well my voice would work on it - what I could hear was close harmonies with the same or a very similar voice.

Actually, Rob's voice would probably be spot on if you didn't do it yourself. You might have to do another version with the improvising toned down a bit later in the song to make it easier to do, though - this one works great for a solo vocal performance, but it would be a bit of a nightmare to try and track the lead on this version... (And I speak as a chap who spent much of yesterday tracking his own lead vocal on a verse that he hadn't expected to have a close harmony when he originally sang the lead! )
