Let Sleeping Dogs Lie (c) 2012 Ken J Hill

Please don't tell me how, to live or to die
Just leave - me - be, to go off and cry
Can't take - this feeling, I say with a sigh
I only want my freedom, let sleeping dogs lie

So why - deceive me, by spreading this tale
That all is so grand, and no one can fail
Not everyone wins, cause some are just frail
While others just wait, and stand by the rail

So many go hungry, day after day
Where are all the heros, who could show us the way
Our leaders do nothing, never willing to pay
Everyone's talking, with nothing to say

The world is for the many, with plenty to share
So why are there few, who really do care
It's true that in life, some things are not fair
But that shouldn't mean, we leave the shelves bare

No hope for the timid, they will lose this fight
For everyone's caught up, in their own delight
More wars and widows, with no end in sight
They profit and they pander, to evils delight

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Nice one Hardlock... love them dreamy guitars... and them vox are soaring. Also I'm thinking I'm hearing some real drums in the background. Very... very .... very nicely done!!! I love it.

I dig the airy guitar sound Hardlock! Good lyric and your vocals are real easy on the ears. The lead solo is cool and the clear tone is perfect for this song. I like it!

Fantastic song, yeah that guitar is superb, sounds beautiful , I'm getting that thin lizzy vibe too a bit. Maybe a bit Clapton too.
Great vocals and lyrics.
