Very nice - I really like garage band on the iMac. I am dubious about the iPad touchscreen rather than the piano keyboard - there has been a long discussion about this on another thread, but great sound on this - so you can't argue with the results.
Great job.

Wowzer, I think this sounds great, love the smart strings, but great work and performance on your part.

The ipad sounds an amzing tool, if I had the money to waste you would have probably just made apple another sale.

is ipad apple?

Wow, I missed this, very impressive. Great version, and the vocals are fantastic. Interesting how you exported the music from the iPad to a BR800 and PC to finish it off, is there a way that you could have done the entire thing on an iPad with extra hardware, i.e. iRig or similar?

I'm still waiting for a compelling enough argument to get an iPad, I may have just found it, it's whether Mrs Flash thinks so too.....

Brilliant stuff.

bloody stellar been hearing lots of arguments against the ipad as a means to making music, but like someone said here recently it aint what you got its what you do with it. and boy did you do good, i too approached listening to this with some trepidation as it is a personal favourite of mine. so a double thumbs up from me.

Totally agree ,its no different from using a drum machine or effects as long as you use it sparingly and add the human touch to it.
Ive used drums from it and a couple of sequencer parts but then you add it to your own song and build round about it.
I still prefer the old method because im old school but would not shy away from using it as a tool for writing.

Thanks for the comment. Yep, you're probably right. This was more of an experiment to see what I could do. I'd probably still use real guitar, bass etc in future, but might use the iPad for synth, strings, percussion etc.

Cheers. Luckily for me, it made no difference as I haven't got a piano keyboard, and couldn't play it even if I had. The synth solo was very much a one finger job!!:)

Cheers. I love the strings too & yes iPad is apple. It's expensive & had I not sold my 1st born child on ebay, I'd probably never been able to afford it. However, it's a thing of great beauty, it's slick & it works :)

Yes ... I've bought an iRig now too, but still prefer the BR600 for vocals and mastering. I guess it's a more comfortable pair of slippers ;)

Believe me I also had the same trepidation in recording it. The Cure are one of the greats in my book. However I was rather pleased with the result. Glad you liked it too. :)

Thanks for listening. I'm old school too. I probably wouldn't record another song in it's entirety on the iPad, but would use elements of it.

Great stuff,As Ive said before ,use the ipad as a tool for drums, sequencers ,keyboards and its fine just add it to your studio and put the human element,i.e real guitars vocals etc and theres nothing wrong with it but over use it and it takes the magic out of the art of songwriting,Use it for colours and its fine. This is an excellant job.
