Hi ORH - I got me a hot dam sexy mic - a Rhode NT1A and a Behringer preamp - thanks to the advice from the Songcrafters - it's got a really warm sound and very sensitive! Cheers guys

i got to use flash harry's rode nt1a a couple of times, best mic ive ever used,

saying that it's been pretty much the onboard mic on my mbr is the only mic ive used for the last 5 years lol.

The BR80 does have exceptional onboard mics and you obviously know how to get the best out of yours ORH.

It's odd, we all spend hundreds if not thousands on guitars and amps but begrudge paying for probably the most important thing used to record sound. A good voice deserves a good mic, and now you have both Haylie!
