This is song is all done by me. A mixture of electric and an acoustic guitars for the rhythm tracks. An EBO bass and Zoom drums. I wanted to get an Allman Bros. like guitar harmonies so I used three guitars (Tele, LP, and Strat) and three amps ( Bassman, Laney,  Deluxe Reverb) to see if I could get close. The result is a horn like blend quality, which I'm quite pleased with.
Catch A Random Tear

1. I know you think I'm a pillar of strength
A tree against the wind
But sometimes I'm just the weakest link
Guided by my feelings within

I might be the wall around the castle
One who always takes a stand
But I'm just the fringe upon the tassel
Another pebble in the sand.....

(chorus)
So if you see I'm turnin' away
It's for the fear
That just by chance your glance
May catch a random tear....

2. I know you think I'm the boldest of the bold
And I can take all of these hits
But I'm really just hidin' out from the cold
Disguised as a seeker, not a misfit

I consider myself a strong soul
Sometimes it's hard to see the line
That clearly defines this one man's role
So if from time to time......

(chorus)
If you see I'm turnin' away
It's for the fear
That just by chance your glance
May catch a random tear....

Don't catch a random tear....
Don't catch a random tear....
Don't catch a random.....
Catch a random tear......

Thanks ORH and Kenny!

Kenny: It's hard the keep the Allman Bros. sound out of a Southern rock song. As you can tell, they've had their influence on me...thanks!

Hi Farrell, this is the real deal and as the guys say, it could have come straight off an Allman Bros album an almost inevitable comparison. Another post of the highest quality, my sort of music.............Willie

Thanks Willie and Hook!

You know the old saying "we are what we eat".....I think it's the same with music. I've listened to and have always loved the Allman Brothers melding of Blues and Southern Rock...so as you you say Willie it was an "inevitable comparison". Thanks for the great compliment!

I would love to do a cover of Whippin' Post.

Oh yeah this is awesomeness in every way. That bass sticks out the most to me and great playing.
Everything is tight and amazing sounding. Love the melodic solo. That`s a different drum sound too.

Love it Farrell. Thanks for sharing!

Really enjoyed this one, Farrell!! Fast, punchy and exciting - So tight! Love the bass line, soooo awesome. And the vocal harmonies and solo licks are unbeatable.

Thanks Gnasty and Mark!

Gnasty: The drums are from a Zoom MRT Machine. I have a better sounding, upgraded version of it also but I'm not as comfortable with it yet. I'm not a drummer so the drummers out there are probably shaking their head when they hear my drum programming. I hear and program drums from a guitar players view point....my drummer has several feet and hands, lol!

Thanks!
