Was listening to this over beers saturday night, and IMHO this song is one of the most clever pop/rock songs ever! It was one of the first I heard on Radio Luxemburg as a young man, and they are from Swindon (I shared Andy Partridges dentist for a while!).

Anyway, would have liked to have another go at the main vox but run out of time
enjoy
andy :)

Oh I'm really pleased you did this one. I'm a Swindon girl born and bred although don't live there now. I thought the vocals were great but a bit low in the mix maybe? A mighty fine version!

Andy you should check out my song Speed Dating - it's about the Brunel Rooms!

I have not had the pleasure of hearing this one before now.

Great job.  What did you use for the drums?

Thought I'd better listen to this as it is pretty much my theme song. Too many people (especially Americans) always say "Ah, we're only making plans for Nigel" whenever they find out my name....

You did a great job here, a pretty challenging song to cover, I love the guitar sounds, very true to the original. Great arrangement and I love the way you used the stereo image. Did you record the drums sounds in different countries? I seem to recall stories of mad excesses in terms of recording when XTC recorded different individual drums in different studios...... But I could be making that up!

Great job, and great fun!

Cheers,

Nigel
