This is without a doubt one of my favorite tunes from songcrafters and it's in my top 10 list of my favorite songs in general. I think that Gnasty is one amazing musician/songwriter and Stepping Stone is just a Super Group in my humble opinion!
This is just a live recording, 1 mic track & 1 guitar (straight into br900) and there is some kind of crackle after the 1st chorus, not sure if it's a cord thing or if I hit the mic stand with my foot. It took me the better part of an hour to get through the song without  messing up, and this is that take.

Holy Crap i`m in awe!! I couldn`t imagine anyone cover this on acoustic and in a live take for that matter.
100% grade Hook fashion you put this song in!.We were just talking about this song and how it needs to be remixed. I don`t think remixing it will come close to your performance Hook. You hit this outta the ballpark. It`s on loop today and all day!!
You are one amazing musician. We`ll have to jam one day my friend. Mark and Tod will freak when they hear this too!!

YOU RULE!!!

Thanks again!!!

Love it!!

You are a wizard, bro - I could definitely drink beer to this!!

Great guitar playing and forceful, rockin' vocal delivery. I don't know much about guitars, capos, amps and all that stuff and my eyes glaze over when people talk about it, but whatever you did sounds frickin' awesome!!!

You got me, I'm impressed as hell!!

And yes, Owwww!!! ;D

Peace,

Mark

Actually Gnasty, I'm capo 3rd fret playing it in D. I use the F shape to slide the progression up and down the neck in the verses/chorus. For the bridge I start on D then move that shape up a 1/2 step then a full step and then bang a A flat barchord (really a B I guess).
I figured it out by ear since I couldn't find the Stepping Stone chord book at Guitar Center. I'm not exactly a metal player, I'm more of a 1st position chord kinda guy, so I had to nix the idea of using the riff so instead went for strum power. Needed to change the key so I could sing it with the forcefulness it deserved.
Thanks for a great song guys!

Brilliant! I love how you've found the song within the song, stripping it down to its basic chords and melody. Who'd have thought this heavy rocker would work so well with just acoustic guitar and voice? Well done!

What a vocal, this is like Pete Townsend on acoustic, Roger Daltrey on vocals........damn powerful stuff.  I love this.
