Will it come to me, the way to connect the dots?
Lines create the spaces that weave clever plots

Will I ever see the future as it should be
Will the path illuminate & will the path be true & straight

Who's to really say they know
          Contradicting evidence grows
That disrupts the ebb & flow
          I'm so comfortable with I don't know

Will it be revealed, sight restored, vision cleared
An overwhelming sense of peace, hatred silenced, fear is ceased
Will there come a day when differences are put away
Past mistakes have been learned, love received & returned

          Chorus

Will there ever be a day when everyone agrees
When skeptics might just close their eyes
& accept the truth within the lies

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

Hook - you are a poet! You take my silly song-titles and add so much meaning. Take some simple musings, and turn them into a song. You've excelled yourself with this one - absolutely love it. Right - back to listen again!

Thanks RTT - I'm on a quest to find out how to record my acoustic - I'm never satisfied, but getting closer. This is two tracks panned hard left and right (two takes) - which gives it a nice acoustic chorus effect. Spent some time on eq'ing which helps.

For ref - this is my small bodied acoustic Brook guitar - a Taw.

Thanks all for the comments. I really enjoying these collaborations, if you've not done it - try it. It never ceases to surprise me. Hook is so inventive with his melodies and lyrics, and a great voice and musician as well. I always love listening to what comes back, never what I expect and always different. I really appreciate all the people who I've collaborated with, a lot of skill, time and effort involved - and hopefully rewarding, it certainly is for me. I've had the CD in the car on permanent play of songcrafters work - is that odd?

Bobtail - guilty as charged - however my excuse is that the bedroom is sometimes the studio - and as a studio, its allowed to be messy????? Perhaps not :-)

Some technical stuff - the track is two acoustic tracks recorded with the SE2200T mike - about 4 feet away. Nearly no reverb on the guitars - only background reverb bouncing off the wardrobe :-)  Bass recorded straight into BR1600. The drums are quite interesting. Korg Microstation simple drum track - but added a second track of all the cymbal fills, rasps et al, played in real time on the keyboard - and panned the same as the drum machine track. I think this takes the robotic feel out of the whole drum machine thing, and really quite like it - it makes it more human, without sounding out of time if just playing the rhythm straight. Mixed and sent to Hook - he did the rest :-) That said, I get some odd looks of the family playing beats off the keyboard.

EQ'd the guitar - took out some of the mids, which really improved the clarity.
