Just finished my cover of White Rabbit. I tried a couple of new things here on this cover. I needed a good sounding bass line on this and couldn't quite get it using the BR-600 built in bass sim. So I thought about using samples and loading them in using the tone load function, but the samples were too long and shortening them killed their tone. However it was suggested by some members here to try Audacity. It has a built in pitch shift function that let me use my Epiphone as a bass. Worked pretty well for the bass line. Thanks to those who suggested Audacity.

Hey Martin this is really good.

I especially like the sounds of those drums. Are they Hydrogen? You`re getting better productions.
The only thing i`d like to hear is the vox more. Other than that this is good all around.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Rob, thanks for the comment on the confidence on this song. I was a bit worried as my comfort range on vocals is usually a lot lower range in my voice, but I've practiced this song so often I felt I might be able to do it, and i was pretty pleased with the result.

Gnasty, the drums are samples I found on the internet and I've picked a few that I like. I then import them and do a tone load as my kit and pan the crash and ride cymbals to one side, and the hi-hat and snare to the other, with the kick in the middle, sort of like looking at a drum kit. I did this all on the BR-600 and on this song I did parts of it as step record to get the tight snap on the snare. Now I just found out there is a Rhythm Editor, and I will be using this in the future as that step recording was tedious! I'm learning this stuff as I go along. I've not tried hydrogen, but I did read a couple of threads of it in the Home Recording forums. I just downloaded Audacity and trying it out like I did here on a bass line in this song, so I want to get the hang of it first. Hope this makes sense.
