Two rainy days in a row, so I got bored and sat down at a piano  :D

All done on the MBR with a sound effect added in Audacity.

Features Piano (a full-size electric one), Hofner Verythin, Mexican Precision bass, and Mellotron Brass (Thumbjam).

A bit different-sounding for me, and partly 'cause I can't play piano, lol.

Damn I like this one a lot, reminds me of something, maybe just reminds me of the best of the clasic rock sound maybe, I want to come to this party.  Kind of like a Three Dog Nite or Badfinger kinda classic rock vibe, early 70's.  Very tasty.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Hi Tim, I really hate the rain at weekends but it does do some good, namely, more playing and recording time. This has a Beatleish sort of feel, probably the piano but whatever I love it...............Willie

Hey, you play piano well enough to make this work.  Very 'literate' lyrics LOL!  Love your hook for the chorus - great idea for both lyric and melody.  Smokin' guitar lead - very tasty.  A great listen!  DD

Thanks for listening!

Hey Greeny,
Man your vox are so assured on this - absolutely spot on. I really liked the vibe on this track - definitely 70's with a touch of modern indie perhaps? Great number to the collection.

Oh - and you're right about the rain - its starting to pee me off, I spent yesterday playing and recording - couldn't go anywhere. Some poor guy got killed not far from us, submerged in a car going through a ford!

I love it. You should play that piano more often. It sounds great. Randy Newman sprang to my mind (perhaps I was thinking of the similar piano chord style in "You Can Leave Your Hat On").

Is there anything that you can't make sound brilliant?

Smashing stuff.

WOW! Tim, this is excellent!
What do you mean, you can't play piano?
Sounds good to me!

nothing is real... So theres nothing to get hung about!

Tangled Wires

Superb stuff, and love the contrast between the verses and chorus.

It's not necessary about how well you play a particular instrument (which you do extremely well incidently), but having the vision and imagination to put it all together, which is a talent you have in abundance.

Everything beautifully balanced in the mix as per usual.

A Rainy day masterpiece! Great groove and love the lyrics, I agree that you might not be able to pull off the "I can't play" line. You should revise it to "I totally rock!" , the "I" is you, not me!
Rock on brother!
