Well done Farrell. I haven't heard this the 70's. Good sounding production, the mic'ing captures this performance nicely. The guitars sound great, awesome tone.

Thanks Rob, Martin, and Willie!

Rob, I do have a dedicated room but it does triple duty. About 35% is studio equipment and recording desk, 55% music/rehearsal room, and 10% office...all in a 14'x14' space. I do have a bay window that juts out on one wall that I'm not counting in the 14'x14' area but it is part of the room. That's where my office desk and file cabinets go.

I place the drums in a corner where I've hung sound absorption (heavy moving blankets) on two walls of the corner. I also place small makeshift items like blankets draped over chairs etc for further isolation. I do have heavy Indian blankets on most of the remaining wall spaces. They do the job and are much more colorful than a grey moving blanket.

I've never properly analyzed with meters or treated my room's sound. I just clapped my hands and yelled (lol),  using with my ears, to decide how many and where to place the blankets to minimize the room reverberation and other unwanted sounds.  It does get tight when you have 4 or 5 musician's in there at once but I always manage to get things recorded and with enough isolation to do a passable mix.

It's really just a guerrilla sound treatment and recording but it works for me and it didn't cost much at all.

I'm going to try attaching a picture of my studio. That's about it...here goes.

Thanks Tony! I've since moved in my amps from the garage, added more racks of processors, and hung some guitars on the walls. I've got about 10 guitar hangers around the room and most have a guitar hung on them. That way  they are just a reach away when the recording bug hits. Here's a picture of three sunbursts on one wall. Since your a guitar player I figured you might enjoy this pic.

Hey Farrell. Here's a picture of my babies all lined up.

From left to right
My Yamaha P120, my Bongos, my 25 year old Takamine, my home made 12 string (not so good), my Fender American Deluxe HSS, my Evette Buffet Champion Alto Sax (Student model. Could use an upgrade), my Selmer La-Voix II Tenor Sax (Ya baby). In front my Yamaha 225SII flute (Old tarnished Student but works OK) and all my Hohner Blues Harps G, A,C,D, and E.

And don't forget my darling BR800 on the coffee table.

Not quite a studio but cozy as heck. I spend a lot of time in this room lately.
