I haven't been able to start any collaboration at this site. Here is one more try ...

The song is just a bedtrack with some permutations of basic chords (G, G+, C, Cm, D, Em and A, to be precise). I envision a bluesy lead vocal for it.

The title is not set in stone, but I'd like the lyrics to be melancholic with a hint of sarcasm, if that's feasible.

Anybody interested?

The tempo is varying at the beginning. Later, when the drums set in, it is 78 BPM.

I might have an idea for this. Melancholy yes, sarcastic? Erm, probably not. I'll give it a go anyway.

Hey, guys, thanks for the comments! I look forward to what you'll do with this draft.

Let me know if you need anything (dry seps, partial mixes, etc. ). I'm aware of the fact that MP3 files are not usable for tracking (because of timing issues), so I suggest that I upload a WMA, FLAC or APE somewhere.

... which reminds me ... yes, there is a ZIP with the APE versions of the seps in my dropbox folder:

What show
Music by Stoman Lyrics by Reg
She told me she loved me, she'd be mine for ever more
she promised to be true through the good times and the bad
but she didn't really try at all
i come to realize she'd lied and lied
she'd been living another life behind my back with other guys

She told me i could keep the key to her heart
but she didn't tell me she had others cut, right from the start
now i'm cold and lonely, as i remaniss our life
i've come to realize all she did was take everything from my life
What am i mean't to do with these memories inside
i can't eat them or pay the rent
she was mean't to love and cherish me not tear me apart instead

Day after day, her lies ,whirl around inside my tortured mind
the way she held me close as she ripped out my heart from behind
All I hope she finds a love, like she gave me
find that special someone to keep her company
but i'll go on through life trying to find love to heal my heart inside
i believe, that love is out there, although it hides
i'm going to put her to the back of my mind
try not to think of her no more
and go out there and try and find love once more

Wow! That is bloody AMAZING! You've turned it into a classic, Reg.

Epic, immense and totally mesmerising. It has the feel of a 70's classic. The vocal reminds me a bit of the verse on 'Living Next Door to Alice' by Smokie... same kind of regret and emotion in the delivery.

I can also see Liza Minelli singing this.

So good!

If you can do that in half an hour, I wonder what you can do in a whole day. That's very nice indeed, and it suits the mood of the instrumental perfectly IMO.

Please do send me the dry sep(s) (unless, of course, you intend to work some more on it), and I'll do a decent mix. :)
