"A Tisket A Tasket" bruno & Hook cover Ella Fitzgerald

This is a tune I play somewhat often for audiences of another age but being in the spirit of Gurlfest I thought I should produce up a version. On the BR900 for this one, a few weeks ago I recorded a scratch live take (vocal & guitar) and also laid down my "Minty Coin Drums".  That of course is when I fill my right pocket full of coins (hi hat) and my left pocket gets a can of Icebreaker mints (snare). I really dig the sound and put a maraca track with it and made a rough mix. So I thought that bruno might be able to put something cool onto it so I sent him the track thinking guitar maybe bass. He sent back 2 outstanding violin tracks and perfect bass track. I then had to sit on it for a week or so and this morning I re-did the vocal, added another rythm guitar and background vocals. Thanks alot bruno, you really made this tune come to life!

BTW "1 Minty Coin Drums" do you have a picture? I've made quite a few rhytmic devices myself, including a "coin finger tambourine" used here

Geir I'm not sure a picture would help, it would probably look like my crotch ! But I put a handful of coins in my right pocket for the hi-hat and a plastic container of icebreaker mints

in my left pocket for the snare and just play drums on my lap. Add some reverb and maybe a ukussion track and I get a sound I dig alot!
