The very best New Orleans funk from Mr. Robert Palmer. I f*cking love this so much.

One of my faves. I always wondered whether Brigitte tracked all of those hiccup-giggles (I'd imagine after the third or fourth time, it might start getting painful), or whether they did some tape looping?

I haven't listened to Serge in a while, and your post sent me out looking for some other youtube clips of some of my faves. The video for this one is just stills, but the audio quality is very good. Always loved this song:

Serge's songs shouldn't work. Neither Bridget or Jane can actually sing, lol. But somehow, they are so alluring and effortlessly cool. I also like 'Ford Mustang' a lot (amongst others). I've grown to like his stuff more and more over the years - it's so different to anything else.

Don't get me started on actresses who think they can sing, but can't. This is cool stuff. I can almost understand the French too.

Inspired by Blooby's post of "Mother Goose", I've been listening to a couple of my favourite tracks from Jethro Tull's "Crest of a Knave" album.

Among other things, I love the line "I'm your Pepsi-Cola but you won't take me out the can" in "Said She Was a Dancer", and these awesome lines in "Budapest":

Yes, and her legs went on forever.
Like staring up at infinity
through a wisp of cotton panty
along a skin of satin sea.

 :o  :)

Actually, there are quite a few great lines in the lyrics. Check 'em out.
