I was watching this Norwegian show "Beat for beat" ("Beat by beat") a musical "celebrity" game show where the guests are actors and singers/musicians. Last friday Unnie Wilhelmsen was one of the guest and she performed this song as an answer to the quiz (this clip is fro another performance):

That was the first song I tried to perform in public when I was still trying to be a drummer in the 60's.
At least I think it was the 60's, then again I don't remember much from that epoch.
One day it was greased back hair & hanging at the malt shop (to young then to legally drink ) , next thing I knew it was powder blue polyester leisure suits and I was married.  

Dang, I'm positive there was a 60's.

Snoopy vs. The Red Baron

pertp, Back in March, I celebrated a my 1000th post with the subject,
"Underage Drinking" or "How I Became a Musician"

We learned and recorded Li'l Red Riding Hood by Sam Sham and the Pharaohs while still sober. Then we went out and managed to buy some alcohol.

The truth is, that it was the Royal Guardsmen's cover version of Li'l Red Riding Hood that we learned.  I still have the Snoopy album, and I even bought the CD a couple of years ago.

But until tonight, I'd never seen video of the Royal Guardsmen. Thank you very much.
