What are you listening to right now?

Ted

The discussion (above) of Flaming Lips cover version of Dark Side of the Moon sent me looking for something from Camper Van Beethoven's cover of Tusk.

As always, someone's put in on YouTube:

I'm not a fan of Camper Van Beethoven but a few of you have said that you are so I'm putting this link in because I think there are a lot of their live shows freely available here.  Knock yourselves out, people.  I don't know about the quality of the recordings.

Thanks, Tony.  They are pretty unusual.

A stream of their most (freely) downloaded show is here. The link to the show and ability to freely download in either lossless or MP3 is here. FYI, the show is a soundboard recording.

The Wreckless Eric Radio Show
Quote from: http://wrecklessericofficial.blogspot.com/2009/12/wreckless-eric-radio-show-21-click-to.htmlLast show of the year. Not a round-up of the finest moments of the decade but no less snappy and professional for that. Close the decade and let the new year in with Wussy, Buffy St Marie, The Research Turtles, Miles Davis, Waylon Jennings, Robert Coyne and a preview of the other side of the latest Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby 45. Plus a seasonal reading from A Dysfunctional Success.

Wussy is what caught my attention.  Chuck Cleaver of Wussy (and formerly of Ass Ponys) is one of my favorite songwriters.

I got this one for Christmas from my Bro-in-law. It's magical. I can't stop listening to it or smiling when I do.

All the tracks are excellent but this one, the lead off track, best displays how the arrangement was built from a single musician busking...Playing for Change (very clever). www.playingforchange.com

A great cause as the money raised from sales and concerts go to build music schools around the world.

Chanda Mama is my favourite track on this amazing disc.
