Thanks Rob! In this case I played along with the mic'ed real drums with the bass (direct) and sang a scratch vocal track for timing and to let us know where we were at in the song. The drum mic's did pick up some vocal but it was minimal and covered over when I did the keeper vocal. The scratch vocal was full of drum bleed over but it was erased so no worry there. I then recorded the guitar on the right (Strat) and then the left guitar (LP). The last track to go in was the keeper vocal. Typically I will record a click track or scratch drums and lay down a rhythm guitar track first. After that a scratch lead vocal and the rest follows in no particular order. Although, if I use real drums they are usually last plus I always program the keeper drum machine cans last.

Thanks!

Thanks Tony and Geir! I'm always hesitant about posting up something that's not as smooth as I could get it with some additional work but I'm glad you are all hearing and understanding the "live vibe" I was after.

Thanks guys!

Nice one.  I used to do this one back in the day and haven't heard it for a while.  The live vibe does come, so you definitely achieved what you were going for.

Excellent.

Wow, the tone of those guitars and that amp gave me shivers. And a great performance of a great song! Your playing is 5* out of 5*! Love the live vibe.
