Hi, this is my first song that I recorded on my BR-600 ;D. And the first time I recorded my singing so I am bit nervous :-[

Recorded all on my BR-600 with my Yamaha AEX-500 guitar in standard tuning including the slide solo (which needs a little work on the timing, but I just had to try the slide thing ;D.

Thanks for having a listen.

Nice first post. I've always liked that song, though the Peter, Paul & Mary version is the one I'm most familiar with. Anyway, good job.

FuzzFace

This is a really well balanced production, all the parts compliment each other well.
I would maybe lower the solo a tad, but I like the raw vibe a lot.
I wish I had your singing voice.  The reverb on the vocals creates just the right ambience.

Not familiar with the original, but I love the overall melancholic feel, and can relate to the theme being a nomad myself.

Impressive job and a great first post!

Hook

Alright brother, this is a great post and being your first well that's awesome. You've mixed it real well, I agree with fuzz on solo but every things very tastefully done, and you vocals sound great!
Rock on!

Martin, great first post! The guys are right, the solo is a tad high in the mix, but overall this is a really good cover. It's not a song I'm familiar with, which always makes covers a great listen for me. The vocals sounded good. There's a very genuine quality to you voice.

Greeny

Never heard this song before, so it sounds like an original to me! And a very good one too. It has a nice folky / celtic flavour.

I agree with the comments on taking some volume off the solo, and you should try panning the guitars a bit wider - it would sound really nice.

Welcome aboard.

Finally got to listen and this is really good for your post Martin.
Better than mine. I haven't heard this song in years and you
Have a great voice and that's good guitar for not playing too long.
I agree with greeny and spread it out across your stereo field
And you will sound even more pro!! Excellent man!!
