This is an excellent tune!!!

I like the way it starts with the lead and the bass then everything
falls in.  All works perfectly together with the rhythm guitars and the
harmonies are sooooo good ... nice leads ... etc etc etc ... right till the end... NICE!!!

Wow, this is very smooth and classy and well produced all around.  The popping bass stands out and elevates it to the next level.

Great to hear some new material from the Kite and this maintains the usual high standard. The stand out thing for me was that I can hear the bass! Beautiful playing Mike, Mick Karn would be proud! Love the laid back feel and the lush harmonies, the guitar work is really nice, the fourth Kite-r does a really nice job.

Superb production as well, and as always I am amazed that you make the standard drum patterns on the BR work so well and sound like real drums!

Cheers,

I wish every day that we could all get together in one place to do our stuff. It's good to do it over the net, but even better to do it in the same space.

The fretless is a gorgeous instrument, hand made by a local luthier for me. It's a bit of a handful with six strings though compared to my jazz.

Did we really do this?  Just listened to it with fresh ears. It gets left off my play list, I'll have to add it.

In the first 8 seconds, I was reminded of The Fixx for rhythm guitar, then the lead made it sound like they had mated with Mark Knopfler. When the vocals come in, it reminded me of Steely Dan.
I know how onerous it is as an artist to be compared to someone else, so my apologies, but that's how I heard the first impressions of the song.
I love the fretless. I love the harmonies. I love the catchiness.
Pretty impeccable blends and melody acumen.
My ears thank the artists responsible.
