Hiya,
Busy week - so not a lot of time for music. Mazz's boyfriend is down to ours staying for a few days - and he's in a Screamo band. I couldn't resist putting all the pieces together. Based on Rata-Tat-Tat's rock drum collab piece. Somewhat different for this site!
Tod - hope it's not too much of a shock!!!! :)

Under Pressure - Lyrics by Mazz

I'm sorry. I can't do this,
everything becomes too much
and trust me I'm trying
but you've changed who you've become.
Don't come crawling to me.
When Life becomes too hard
You're dealt your hand
So now play your cards

Life is like a time bomb
Count down the seconds
The thing I can't stand
You know everything you recon

There is a lot of things I'd love to say
But I  don't think I could stand to look at your face
Don't try and throw the ball
Stand proud on your base
Don't you care how I feel
You've rolled the dice - I'll spin the wheel.

Fantastic harmonies! The music is fantastic Bruno. I'm really digging it. Everything was right, drums, guitar work, and loved the synth.

Thanks for the all the comments guys. I've never produced any 'screamo' style music before, so this was quite new for me. Interesting learning experience, as I pushed everything to the max, and 'scooped' the guitar sound. Lots of EQ. I think I can get it sounding fatter - but you have to draw a line somewhere - and I've a couple more projects on the go!!

Gnasty - I don't know how he manages to sing like this without a coughing fit - but seems to be able to sing like that at will. It's probably the cider in Yeovil where Ashley from :)

For info - technical bits. The vox was EQ'd with a lot of top end - COSM amps for the guitar, a lot of the mid's removed. Bass EQ'd heavily for Bass to get a deep rumble. Two guitars hard left and right - not exactly in unison, as I couldn't remembered what I played the first time around. Mazz knocked out the lyrics in 10 minutes. If I can find the scrap of paper they are written on - I'll post :)

Impressive recording, your mix is so clean and tasteful, often with screamo stuff is such a jumbled mess, but this is very well produced. I dig the song and the performances, what impresses me the most about his voice is the switching from scream to singing, it's obviously a gift let's hope he continues to use it for good! Nice lyrics, I'd probably have used more contrast between Mazz & his voices earlier in the tune, but it cool brother.I bet this was  fun project, I love doing different crap from my usual crap.Great use of that drum track too!
Rock on!

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back

Yeah this is the sweetest mix and production.

The musicianship, singing/screaming and the arrangement here is flawless.

Bravo to all involved

Nice contrasts in vocals; sounds "screaming metal" and when the vocalist doesn't scream this sounds a grunge classic to me! Well done, guys!
