Smokin' Gun

Not the Robert Cray song from the 80's but the name of the Blues/Rock band I was in from 1988-2000.
I have shyed away from blues in my songwriting probably because I played it almost every night for so many years.
I wanted to try to do a blues song that captured the energy from our live gigs, of course I wasn't the singer in the band. I played bass and did some background vocals. That's where the music in this song comes from, the lyrics I really have no idea, they kind of just popped into my head, when I wrote and recorded the music I only had the title. I did cheat, when recording the piano parts I slowed the tempo down so I could play it and them sped it back up after.
