I was a bit hesitant to listen to this at first... so many covers of this have destroyed this song.

I've never heard Ella sing Summertime like this.  You've made this jazz standard your own.  It's definitely a fit for Gurlfest as it was sung by Clara and Bess in "Porgy and Bess".  I love the style you bring to this piece.  This was my favorite audition song for theatre.  You've given me a new perspective on a song I know very well.
