Lightfighter - A new Rayon Vert original

Hi all! Rayon Vert is still at it. This is our 3rd song completion of the year. The goal is one a month for cd #3 by years end. So far we are on track.

This song is called Lightfighter and to me it's like a trip back to the golden 1970's classic/progressive rock era.

DrC - all keyboards and mix production. Gary Carciello - all guitars. Rob Grant - bass. Farrell Jackson lyric, all vocals and vocal production.

I used my normal mic and set up for the vocal engineering and production...MXL V9000 tube condenser, T.C. Helicon preamp/desser, RNC compressor, ADA8000 to the Fostex VF160.

I did something a little different with the vocal production this time. In order to beef up the lead vox some I added a low octave voice that follows the lead vox throughout. It's mixed so that it is barely audible but you can hear it. I think it creates a more robust vocal sound. Also instead of adding my two normal harmony voices (lower and upper), I just added the high harmony.

Fights demons in imaginary lands

He's a hunter with the sharpness of steel
That provides.....wholesome bounty.....for his people
He's chosen...as the one....to fend off evil
