problems with pannining effect

I've been using the E. Pf pan effect using headphones and getting a great stereo pan sound.

Now the effect is in mono, it only works if I change the location to master, but this affects the drums aswell.

Since the effect is stereo, you need to record it to two tracks (see page 41 of the Micro BR manual). I suspect that you're only recording to a single track, which will result in mono rather than stereo.
