At last - some free time for me - an internet connection - and time to make something I love - MUSIC
After a period of solid work and no pleasure, I have some time to do things for myself - I have revamped my website (www.geoffjudges.com), released a 10 ten track CD of meditational music and have been giving my 90 year old father 24 hour a day care since mid November. Just got the internet fitted into his place, and brought over the BR1600, a guitar and a mic from our place.
So this is the first of a few songs I am going to do as we now have in some external help which is freeing up our tired minds with my father.
Going to spend a few hours tomorrow doing some reviewing - had a quick look tonight, and there is some great stuff and loads of new people - looking forward to this music filled Friday.

I hope you like this first one - not bad for a little old guy in a room in the middle of Dorset, on my own.

Always a pleasure to listen to, JG.  Nice rhythm riffs with the electric here.  Catchy lyrics and top vox as usual.

Hey Geoff... had a listen earlier... came back to comment. Nice to see you back at it. Love the track... I also took care of my father before he passed almost 3 years ago... Yes... keep recording. Helps ease the mind... just try not to write too many songs about what you're going through mentally... I hate revisiting those songs to this day... brings me back to that place!!! Don't want to go there again!!! Keep your chin up... it's just part of the rollercoaster ride!!! Enjoy it while your here!!!

Alright Geoff, I like this electric rockin' side of you! The guitar tone really puts the rock into this catchy melody and lyric. Real good vocals!

I went through the same with my late father and mother, god rest their souls. It's just part of the cycle of life. I agree with Rata in not letting this tough period dominate your songwriting......although it will be hard not to. I wrote Six Strings which is in part about my father's passing. To this day I have a hard time listening to that song without all the emotion rising up again because it takes me to that dark time.

Anyway, great song Geoff and stay with the music and writing....it will get you through these difficult times.

Thanks for the great comments and also your support - It is certainly a wonderful bunch of people on here.
Music is a great tonic and does help relieve the stress. Hopefully I will get some more on the go and complete some long outstanding collaborations over the next few weeks.
Thanks again,
Geoff
