Inspired by Witchita's fabulous clean guitar tone on some of his posts, I thought I would explore the clean tone from my Am Standard Strat (neck/middle Pickup).  Just jamming away over a backing track.  Cheers.

This is great. Sometimes - especially with a Strat - all you need are the beautiful clean tones ringing through. But it takes skill to play 'clean', because there's nowhere to hide. So this definitely shows how accomplished you are. And there's a lot of feeling in the notes and bends. Top quality!

Thanks ever so much.  You have made my day.  One of the sounds I love with a guitar is that clean in-between PU Strat sound.  The Strat does this sound the best of all the guitars out there.  It just makes your playing sound so much better.  Everytime I post something on here and get such great feedback it just keeps boosting my confidence.  Thank You.

I've been hankering after a new Strat (I had one but sold it a long time ago), and listening to this has only made it worse!!! (not that I could play it like this  )

Thanks Harry.  It would be interesting to see some of these licks that I just pulled out of my head transcribed.  Like you I also like to throw in the major 2,3 and 6 notes along with the minor pentatonic notes.  I think of it as a combination of the Major Pentatonic, Minor Pentatonic, Mixolidian and Dorian Modes all rolled into one scale
