I've been busy with the fizzy again  :D

Someone's Gonna Die Tonight
A song I wrote some 25 years ago, with a friend Gary.

Recorded & mastered entirely on a Boss BR-600

Instruments:
Guitars - Schecter PT & Washburn HB35
Bass - Vintage EST96 active
Drums - BR-600 (self programmed)
Vocals - Behringer XM8500, with a home made pop shield, recorded in our spare toilet (for a bit of natural reverb)

Ominous composition!  Disturbing yet compelling at the same time.  Well done!

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Good stuff - impressed with the drum programming, they sound very natural, which is always difficult to achieve. Nice space in the music as well.

Nicely produced. The wet sound adds something to the creepy lyrics.  Just one man's opinion, but the busy drum programming draws attention to the fact that it was programmed.  Would love to hear this with a human drummer, but I know that's easier said than done.

Nice use of guitars tones as well.

Thanks again. Glad you liked the drum programming & the stereo image.

Thanks for the input Blooby. I really wanted the drums to sound a little more electronic, rather than real, but it looks like I failed here. None of the other drum sounds on the BR-600 seemed to fit the bill. I should've really imported a custom kit, but I guess I got carried away by finding some sounds which didn't clash too much.
Trouble is, I've strived to make them sound more real lately. Looks like I got stuck in a half-way house for this song.
I'd love to hear this with real drums too. Maybe I should put it on the collaborations board, without drums & see what happens :)

Thanks everyone for the comments, especially you Blooby. Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Did you ever post this on the collaboration board sans drums?
