Here's a famous tune..

If the human brain was simple enough for us to understand, we'd be so simple, we couldn't...

Thanks!!! Can't believe it's been nearly a year since I've posted anything. I've been on the brink of buying the BR 80, but money's not great for me right now and I don't know how complicated it's going to be for me to understand. My old Boss machine isn't working too well any more.

I've just bought a ukulele, I'd be interested in buying one of your errrr easier books. I bought Play Ukulele Today (Hal Leonard) Level 1 but it's a bit too easy for me, as the focus seems to be on reading the music (I can already read music). If you've got anything you could recommend, that'd be great. Thanks :D

Hi Hilary, I really like Rob MacKillop's uke books, especially the one of Celtic music. Quite easy to play and written in both TAB and notation. John King's books are superb! 'The Classical Ukulele' is full of great arrangements but some of them are difficult. His other book 'Famous solos and duets for ukulele' is probably my favourite (Mel Bay) but the notation has some bad errors in it - no time sigs, sharps left out etc, but the TAB is perfect. My two books of arrangements start off very easy but have some really challenging pieces at the end. I think 'From Lute to Uke' has had the best reviews (19 five star on amazon.com) I think because the uke really does sound like a lute and the music just 'works' on it so well.
