Daughter singing - few bum notes, but this was 1 take, so shouldn't be harsh on her. Need to go back a re-recorded, probably a little fast. Great tune by a great singer, I love Amanda Marshall's early albums.

Apologies for the delay in the beginning - not edited correctly.

This is fantastic! Your daughter has a fantastic voice. I'm not familiar with the original artist, but I'll be checking out her songs after hearing this. This is simply ear candy bruno! Thanks for the listen.

Tony - thank you for your kind comments - Mazz loves the compliments :-)

Amanda Marshall is a brill singer from the early 90's - first two albums was awesome - and disappeared after her third album. She has a truly powerful voice.

This is my favourite one of her songs

Never heard of Amanda Marshall...but i can say without a doubt your daughter is EXCELLENT!!!

Love her tone and she phrases like a pro. Few will ever go anywhere in the music business anymore...but she just might if she took a mind to.

Nice work!

Just saw the Max Webster and Bob & Doug McKenzie videos you posted in the prog thread and now this. I get the feeling you have a Canadian connection. :)  Most people who've never lived in Canada probably don't know those artists.

Mazz's vocals are excellent and the music's quite good too. Well done both of you.

64Guitars - Interesting observation. I was born in London with Italian parents - and have lived in England all my life. I've never really targeting Canadian music, however all my favourite music is Canadian. I find music I like, and then later find out they are Canadian - for example Amanda Marshall - listened to the first track in one of those listening pods in the shop, immediately bought the album. I grew up on Rush - I loved that band - and as teenagers that led us to all other kinds of music - how, I don't know and can't remember, these were the days before the internet. It was record shops and music mags, and word of mouth I guess. That led to Triumph and Max W. and Bob & Doug - I still have the albums in the loft. Bob and Doug still makes me laugh. I have fond memory's with all my friends, drinking beer and calling each other 'hosers' :-)

I don't know why, but Canadian music seems to really resonate with me.

Have been to America quite a few times, but never been to Canada - perhaps I was put off by 'the ten feet of snow' (aka Bob and Doug :-) ). Will go one day though. The funny thing is, I only recently realised that it was Rick Moranis - I never made the connection :-)

My all time favourite is Marc Jordan, the man can write songs. Mrs B loves Marc Jordan & Amanda Marshall - firm favourite in our household.
