how to delete 'protected songs'

is it possible?
because like the micro br came with this demo song,
which is taking loads of space on me card.

The purpose of protecting a song is to prevent accidental deletion or editing. So, you can't delete it until you turn the protection off (see page 60 of the Micro BR manual). You might want to backup the card first in case you might later want to reload the demo song.

You might also consider getting a new and bigger card - they're cheap and the BR can handle cards of up to 1Gb.  I think the one that came with mine (with the demo song) was 256Kb. 

I understand some brands of cards don't work too well, so take care with the brand (although I haven't had a problelm...).
