Loved your take on this, just top quality. i agree with you on it needs some low end a bass guitar would sound fantastic and some backing vox too would set it right off and I,m sure your up to the task.
 Always love to hear you and john cause you know before it starts that it,s a winner.

I was initially interested in whether it would work live the way it is as there is no bass player.  Having said that, I would absolutely enjoy any additions to this.

I enhanced the tracks a bit and harmonized it.

Thank you very much for the bass addition.  Got me thinking about how to approach this with just guitar.  I am going to pull the King's X influence out of the hat and do some Ty Tabor-flavored dropped-D chord voicings.  Been experimenting with it, and I think it may come off live.
